ICC takes away 2011 World Cup from Pakistan for uncertain security
Pakistan were dropped as co-hosts of the 2011 cricket World Cup due to the uncertain security situation there, International Cricket Council (ICC) announced after its board meeting here Friday."It is a regrettable decision (but) our number one priority is to create certainty and deliver a safe, secure and successful event," ICC president David Morgan said in a statement. Pakistan were due to host 14 matches of the event, along with India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka . The decision comes after terrorists carried out an audacious strike on the Sri Lanka team in Lahore earlier last month during the Test series. At least seven Pakistanis werekilled and six Sri Lanka players were injured in the attack. The ICC Board discussed a report on the attack and its fall-out on the cricketing world. ICC match referee Chris Broad, who was officiating in the Test series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, was present to relate his experience of the incident. Pakistan captain Younus Khan was also present while Mahela Jaywardene, who was the Sri Lanka captain for the series, was available via telephone conference. Top teams have expressed apprehension about playing in the terror-prone subcontinent after the Mumbai and Lahore attacks. International teams have stayed away from Pakistan for the last one year. The last year's Champions Trophy was postponed after Australia, South Africa and England among others refused to tour the country due to security concerns.

'one of the best players in the world'already agreed move to the Spanish capital
Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon claims that 'one of the best players in the world' has already agreed to move to the Spanish capital. Calderon was deposed earlier in the season, but still believes that an agreement is in place with the mystery player. Florentino Perez is expected to win the summer elections, and if Calderon's claims are true he could ride back into the job on a wave of publicity and popularity, without having to lift a finger. Calderon reportedly told RMC, a French radio station: "Anyone who becomes the next president will have at his disposal one of the best players in the world, who is already formally committed to Real Madrid," Calderón said. "I cannot give any names, but all I can say is that thanks to the difficult and laborious work that I did last year, he is already formally a Madrid player, subject obviously to him being able to sign the relevant contract." Calderon did not mention any names, but it's probably fair to say we all know who he was talking about.

Cristiano Ronaldo struck a stunning winner as Manchester United saw off the threat of Porto to seal a Champions League semi-final tie against Arsenal. Ronaldo's thunderous early strike from just shy of 40 yards flew across goal and into the top corner. Nemanja Vidic missed a great chance from five yards late in the first half and Dimitar Berbatov had a shot saved. Lisandro Lopez might have scored a dramatic late goal for Porto, but Edwin van der Sar saved his weak shot.
Chelsea Goalkeeper ADMITS POOR FORM
April,15,09 Petr Cech has admitted that he is in the worst form of his Chelsea career but insists that dropping him is not the answer. The Czech stopper has shipped seven goals in two games and has looked far from the player of three seasons ago. He was made to look silly by Fabio Aurelio's opener in Chelsea's epic 4-4 draw with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. But with Carlo Cudicini now a Tottenham player, the only other goalkeeping option open to Guus Hiddink is Hilario. "I would be disappointed to be left out against Arsenal. Who wouldn't be? This is a question for the manager, but one bad goal can't change what you have been doing all season," said Cech. "You have to show your confidence in training and in games. "If you go to speak to the manager, you can say whatever you want, but he needs to see your answers on the pitch, not in his office. In any case, I am sure we won't defend as badly again on Saturday. "It is the first time in my Chelsea career that I have conceded so many goals in two consecutive games, and the first time I have made mistakes in both of them." Hiddink admitted that Cech is going through a crisis of confidence, saying: "He is a very intelligent and self-critical goalkeeper. "He was not happy with his performance against Bolton although there was always a sequence of errors before he came into action. But he is very critical of his own performance even when he has had an almost perfect game. "There were some things tonight where you could see he was not full of confidence. I think a goalkeeper once in a while has a right not to have a big performance. "But he will stay a very good goalkeeper, every person sometimes has this small period of not being on top form. If a player is playing a lesser game now and then, it is not always the reason to make a substitution."

Aston Villa v Everton result, premier league result, soccer result
Everton-3, Astonvilla-3,
Aston Villa v Everton and everton match drawed by,3:3,
Villa trailed 2-0 and then 3-1 but refused to buckle and Barry earned them a share of the spoils after Joleon Lescott caught Stiliyan Petrov in the face with his boot when attempting to clear. Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill put Everton in control and, after John Carew had reduced the arrears, Steven Pienaar put the Toffees back in command before James Milner and Barry rescued a point for Villa. But the result did little for the chances of either side in their attempts to overhaul fourth-placed Arsenal. Villa have now gone 10 games without a win in all competitions and Everton are still without an away league victory in 2009. Everton played the better football for long periods with Leon Osman and skipper Phil Neville, in the 400th league appearance of his career, excellent in the centre of the park. The Villa defence also looked at sixes and sevens and struggled to contain the threat of Fellaini, Jo and Cahill. But the Everton rearguard were also severely tested in coping with Carew via the stream of high balls into their penalty box. And Ashley Young was a constant source of danger with his trickery which earned him a series of free-kicks. Villa did most of the early pressing and Tim Howard gathered a dipping centre from Milner after he had escaped the attention of Leighton Baines on the right flank. But Brad Friedel had to be alert to tip over a rising fierce half-volley from Neville after a corner from Baines had only been half cleared. Then after 20 minutes the Villa goalkeeper was powerless to stop Fellaini putting Everton ahead with his eighth goal of the campaign. Jo was involved in the build-up before finding Baines and his low cross was tapped in at close range by Fellaini. Villa looked shell-shocked by this setback and a low shot from Pienaar curled only a couple of feet away. In a rare Villa reply, Milner stung the hands of Howard with a long range drive although it was straight at the Everton keeper. David Moyes' side were soon back on the offensive and Friedel parried an effort from Cahill after being found in space by Jo. But after 22 minutes, Cahill grabbed his ninth goal of the season to double Everton's lead. Cahill thumped his header against the crossbar from a Pienaar corner and he was first to react to the rebound and headed past Friedel. Villa tried to retaliate and Hibbert became the first player to be yellow-carded after 28 minutes for a touchline challenge on Agbonlahor. The home side looked all over the place every time Everton ventured forward and Friedel saved bravely at the feet of Cahill. But after 32 minutes Carew gave Villa a lifeline with his 13th goal of the campaign. Milner's centre was deflected back across goal by Barry and then Agbonlahor also got a touch on the ball before Carew made no mistake from close range. Everton still looked dangerous and Curtis Davies blocked a shot from Jo after Cahill had allowed the ball to run across the box into his path. Hopes of a Villa revival suffered a setback after 53 minutes when a superb strike from Pienaar restored Everton's two-goal advantage. Neville played the ball into Pienaar's feet and he turned past Luke Young and curled a 20-yard drive past Friedel into the corner of the net.

Sunderland vs ManU
Saturday 11th April 15:00 GMT
In premier league,Manchester United will be hoping to have turned around their form when they visit struggling Sunderland side in their next Premier League encounter on Saturday. Catch all the live streaming soccer here on Live Sport Network
The Red Devils staged an amazing comeback in their last match against Aston Villa to break a two match losing streak. Having taken an early lead in the first half, United looked to have once again thrown away a match as Villa first equalized through John Carew before Gabriel Agbonlahor put them in front midway through the second half. The defending champions pressed ahead and equalized in the 80th minutes through Cristiano Ronaldo before a stunning strike from Federico Macheda wrapped up all the points in injury time.
Manager Alex Ferguson will be hoping that his side will be able to build on the victory and return back to form as he attempts to win his third straight Premier League title.
Sunderland on the other hand will be hoping to avoid a fourth defeat in a row on Saturday with the club still embroiled in a relegation battle. The Black Cats are just three points above the relegation zone and manager Ricky Sbragia will be hoping that his side will be able to collect the required number of points and avoid getting relegated come the end of the season.United will be without Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans with both the defenders out of action with injuries but will be able to welcome Nemanja Vidic who was suspended for the game against Aston Villa. There are some doubts over the availability of George McCartney for Sunderland with the defender yet to recover from a calf injury.

Liverpool Vs Blackburn
In premiership ligue,Liverpool will be hoping to recover from their Champions League debacle in time to maintain their challenge for the Premier League title when they welcome Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Catch all the action from Premier League live here on Live Sport Network
Liverpool slumped to a heavy 3-1 defeat to Chelsea in their Champions League quarter final first leg game on Wednesday and will have to score at least three goals at Stamford Bridge if they are to progress to the next round.Manager Rafa Benitez will be hoping that his side will be able to put behind the disappointing result and continue their excellent league form with another victory against Blackburn and maintain the pressure on Manchester United in the race for a Premier League title.
Blackburn Rovers on the other hand will be looking to build on their surprise victory over Tottenham Hotspur from last weekend and pull further away from the relegation zone. Two late goals from Benni McCarthy and Andre Ooijer propelled Blackburn to a 2-1 win after Tottenham looked to on course for a comfortable victory thanks to a 30th minute goal by Robbie Keane.
The win lifted Blackburn to 15th in the league table, five points clear of the drop zone and with just seven matches remaining in the season, manager Sam Allardyce will be confident that his side will be able to avoid relegation.
Blackburn will be confident of coming away with at least a point on Saturday but will have to put up a vastly improved performance from the last time that the two teams met this season. The match ended in a comfortable 3-1 win for Liverpool and Benitez will be hoping for a similar result this time around.
