Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon claims that 'one of the best player
s in the world' has already agreed to move to the Spanish capital. Calderon was deposed earlier in the season, but still believes that an agreement is in place with the mystery player. Florentino Perez is expected to win the summer elections, and if Calderon's claims are true he could ride back into the job on a wave of publicity and popularity, without having to lift a finger. Calderon reportedly told RMC, a French radio station: "Anyone who becomes the next president will have at his disposal one of the best players in the world, who is already formally committed to Real Madrid," Calderón said. "I cannot give any names, but all I can say is that thanks to the difficult and laborious work that I did last year, he is already formally a Madrid player, subject obviously to him being able to sign the relevant contract." Calderon did not mention any names, but it's probably fair to say we all know who he was talking about.
